These terms cover use of the GalaSpo Stream iOS app. By downloading or using the app, you agree to them. If anything here is unclear, reach out.
GalaSpo Stream is a free iOS app that lets you broadcast live video from an iPhone directly to your own YouTube channel, with a scoreboard overlay (teams, colors, logos, score, and game clock) burned into the video. It's built for junior athlete parents, coaches, and volunteers, and works equally well for adult leagues.
GalaSpo Stream connects to your YouTube channel through Google's own sign-in so it can create, schedule, and manage the live broadcasts you start from the app. This use of the YouTube API Services is subject to the YouTube Terms of Service, and by using GalaSpo Stream's YouTube features you also agree to the Google Privacy Policy. You can revoke GalaSpo Stream's access to your account at any time from your Google Account permissions page.
Your video stream is sent directly to YouTube — GalaSpo does not operate a relay server the broadcast passes through, and does not separately record or store a copy of it. See the Privacy Policy for the full detail on what the app accesses and stores.
You're responsible for the content you stream, the visibility settings (Public, Unlisted, or Private) you choose on YouTube for each broadcast, and for following your league's or organization's own rules around filming and publishing video — including video of minors. GalaSpo Stream is a tool for creating and sending the broadcast; it does not review, moderate, or take responsibility for what you choose to stream or publish.
Separately from these terms, YouTube sets its own rules for who can stream and what can be shown — GalaSpo Stream doesn't set or enforce these, and has no control over YouTube's moderation or takedown decisions. As of this writing, YouTube requires a streamer to be at least 16 to live stream solo; streamers aged 13–15 must be visibly accompanied by an adult. These age thresholds, and other content rules, can also vary by country based on local law. See YouTube's live streaming restrictions and child safety policy pages for the current, authoritative rules for your country, since YouTube can change them independently of this app.
When an adult operates GalaSpo Stream to broadcast a youth game, that's treated by YouTube as adult-run coverage of a public sporting event — not a minor hosting their own stream. A few practical things that help keep a broadcast like that trouble-free:
You need your own YouTube channel enabled for live streaming to use GalaSpo Stream's broadcast features, and you must be old enough under Google's own terms to hold a Google Account. GalaSpo Stream itself is operated by an adult (a parent, coach, or volunteer) — it is not directed at or intended to be used directly by children.
GalaSpo Stream is provided free, "as is," without warranties of any kind. Live streaming depends on things outside the app's control — your device, your network connection, and YouTube's own service — so we can't guarantee an uninterrupted or error-free broadcast every time.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, GalaSpo is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including a missed, dropped, or failed broadcast.
The app may change or add features over time, and these terms may be updated to reflect that. If a change is meaningful, the "last updated" date above will change along with it. Continuing to use the app after an update means you accept the revised terms.
You can stop using GalaSpo Stream at any time by deleting the app and revoking its access from your Google Account permissions page (linked above). We may also discontinue the app or a given feature at any time.
